To this day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. remains a keystone in the American Civil Rights Movement. His speeches motivated thousands of people from every walk of life to peacefully protest the forces that oppressed them. King worked through his final days to rally everyday Americans in the fight against the litany of injustices that he felt contributed to an unjust society, including poverty.
