Equal Opportunity Specialist

Mr. Hewitt has been an Equal Opportunity Specialist for the City of Columbus since 2005. He has a Master's degree in Psychology. He also has fifteen years of experience in public service. In that experience in Cincinnati, Ohio he worked with citizens, unions, police and fire divisions, community leaders and the civil service commission in the personnel department. For several years he trained supervisors and management how to prevent illegal discrimination for a government with 8,000 employees. Mr. Hewitt innovated a volunteer EEO Counselor network, provided training and support to counselors to ameliorate illegal discrimination from that workplace. Mr. Hewitt also had his own organizational development practice, working with companies across the U.S. and into the Caribbean on topics of diversity, team building, change and quality.
