Administrative Secretary to the Director

Karen Nolan Mitchell is the Administrative Secretary to the Director.  Karen holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology/Social Welfare from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Karen is an Ohio native but resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for thirteen years.  Previous to her work at the Commission, Karen held both administrative and social work positions in Fort Lauderdale.

Karen has four adult children and two grandchildren.
